QURAN VILLAGE MOSQUE
The competition proposal for Putrajaya’s third mosque envisions a landmark structure accommodating 5,000 jemaah, situated on a retention pond as the inaugural phase of the Quran Village.
Inspired by the earth’s form, the design symbolizes Islam’s universality and intrinsic connection to nature. A white perforated aluminum screen envelops the mosque as a symbolic 'hijab' representing purity, standing in striking contrast against the surrounding greenery while reflecting on the water. The minaret, marks the Qibla and signifies divine oneness. Passive cooling strategies, along with water and energy conservation measures, reinforce the mosque’s sustainable design ethos.

MASJID MACMA
The proposed mosque for MACMA on Jalan Imbi integrates modern design with Chinese architectural influences. Sharing a podium with a commercial block, it features an open plaza for communal activities and a two-storey car park.
Inspired by traditional Chinese pavilions, the mosque’s entrance is marked by a red brick archway, leading to a prayer hall beneath a pagoda-style skylit roof. The minaret is clad in perforated metal. Geometric metal screens provide sun shading, while cascading water features and integrated planters enhance thermal comfort and aesthetics.
